Every box turtle is different

Shell patterns, colors, and facial markings make it possible to recognize many individual turtles over time.

For the downtown Ocean Springs registry, please include:

A clear face photo
A photo from above showing the whole shell. Gently pour a little clean, room-temperature water over the shell before photographing it to help show its patterns. Keep water away from the face.
The address or closest intersection, landmark, or ditch between two streets

Naming: If a turtle is not already in the registry, its contributor may choose its name.
